Where our funds go?

Your support is the life blood of our humanitarian work.

We value donations and trust given from our supporters when investing in our programs and the commitment to bring hope and change to vulnerable people around the world.

When you donate to Caritas Penang, you can be sure of our careful stewardship of your contribution. We pride ourselves in having one of the lowest administration rates in the sector.

Our Programs

97% of funds are spent on Local and International Programs, including Education, Medical, Covid-19 Relief, Migrants & Refugees, Indigenous people, Aid to the needy, Charitable homes and advocacy programs in Malaysia.

Administration & Fundraising

2.2% of funds are spent on essential administration costs, including our talented people. 0.4% of funds are spent on Fundraising, so that we can maintain and expand the scope of our humanitarian partnerships.

Through 29 Catholic churches in the state of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Kelantan, 13 organisations and 28 individual social mission groups, we were able to fund for charity and send aid to the poor & excluded in Malaysia.

As a member of Caritas Internationalis, one of the largest humanitarian networks in the world, we work together with other dioceses and archdioceses in Malaysia, Catholic missionary organizations, local communities, group, and ministries in parish or diocese level to drive their own development and build a just world for all.
