Humanitarian outreach for refugees

Caritas Penang, in collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders (Butterworth), is organizing a humanitarian project to provide essential hygiene items to refugees currently detained at the Immigration Detention Centres (IDC).

We humbly appeal to your parish to support this initiative by donating the following items:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Body soap
  • Shampoo
  • Laundry soap bar
  • Feminine hygiene products

The detainees are in urgent need of these basic necessities, and your support can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

To coordinate this project, please contact our administrative staff:

  • Rachel at 017-462 8466
  • Francis at 011-6513 7507

We sincerely appreciate contributions of any quantity. Donation items may be delivered to the Catholic Diocese of Penang  at 290, Jalan Macalister.

We aim to complete the collection by 18th July 2025.

Thank you for your kind consideration. We look forward to your generous support.
