Caritas means love. Inspired by Gospel and rooted in the Catholic Social Teaching – Caritas is the church in action – to help the poor, vulnerable and excluded. We walk in solidarity with the poor towards the kingdom of God.
The Catholic Church expands it's mission to reach out to help more vulnerable communities through collaboration with National Cancer Society Malaysia.
1 day formation and training for parish caritas representatives, volunteers and those who would like to serve the poor.
National Cancer Society Malaysia held a symposium on 1st June 2024 at Kg.Simee, Ipoh where they inaugurated its NCSM-Caritas hall on the same day.
Caritas is the charitable arm of the Roman Catholic Church. It is to spearhead the church’s social mission, to respond to humanitarian crisis, promote integral human development and advocate on the causes of poverty and violence.
Caritas Penang comes under the jurisdiction of The Titular Roman Catholic Bishop of Penang.
