Caritas Church of Sacred Heart Kampar (Caritas CSH) is a pastoral body of parish community whose task is to animate, coordinate, promote and witness charity with special accent on its pedagogical role. In other words, Caritas CSH not only helps the poorest within the church’s territory but also involve the whole parish community to live the commandment of love.
Caritas CSH is providing aid to more than 1000 migrants hailing from Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Nepal. It was founded within the parish to support the charitable efforts of the local priests. A designated Caritas representative is assigned to address the concerns of the migrants and indigent members of the community by offering solutions to their problems.
Caritas CSH works closely with other parishes in the diocese, government authorities and NGOs to provide sacramental, physiological, medical, legal, and education support to help the migrant communities.
The Sacred Heart Church is a distinctive parish that boasts a lively community. The local population is diverse, consisting of Chinese, Tamil, and Orang Asli communities, as well as a significant number of Indonesian Catholic immigrants. To meet the social needs of the community, Caritas was established within the parish three years ago.

Caritas is the charitable arm of the Roman Catholic Church. It is to spearhead the church’s social mission, to respond to humanitarian crisis, promote integral human development and advocate on the causes of poverty and violence.
Caritas Penang comes under the jurisdiction of The Titular Roman Catholic Bishop of Penang.
