The Parish Caritas Manual is designed to provide spiritual formation, prayer resources, and practical tools to organize parish pastoral projects. It is perfectly suited for everyone who serves in Caritas, as well as leaders who plan to train their members.
Parish Caritas is a core pastoral body of the Church, standing alongside Liturgy and Catechetical.
Our mission is to animate parish communities, coordinate outreach programs, promote social justice, and witness to charity through concrete action. Caritas plays the vital role of educating parishioners and all people of goodwill about the commandment of love through engaging activities, talks, and workshops.
In Liturgy, we worship God in the Church; in Catechetical, we teach our children the Catholic faith; and in Caritas, we lead every parishioner to live out the greatest commandment: to love God and our neighbor.
Caritas Penang operates under the jurisdiction of The Titular Roman Catholic Bishop of Penang.
